As part of my on-going commission for a local town council & NHS Primary Care Trust I have been trying to source old photos of the surrounding area of Epping (where I take most of my photos for challenges) to have some kind of comparison. The other day I was allowed access to an archive of old shots and was really pleases to find this one which is the same church I took in another shot of mine from last year.

On another note, some of the photos I found were very very old, 1911, 1906 etc, so stuff well over a hundred years old. I spent several hours going through all the stuff and it really did transport me back in time, the fashions, the styles, the simplicity of life. Throughly enjoyed myself. Anyhow, I managed to scan in a lot of material but this one I really really like, its only from the late 60s, early 70s.

The archive sounds like an interesting source. Out of print books are sometimes even better, in that they supply background details as well as photos. For instance, you might be able to get your client to buy a copy of the following (this one might actually be in print):
Memories of Epping by Baster, Clare
