Q1. Is there a way to view the stats on a challenge entry? In other words, can I find out how many 1's or 2's my entry has received so far, or do I have to wait until voting is finished? If this is possible, what about viewing the stats on someone else's entry? Since I can't find any button or link for this I'm assuming none of this is possible.

Q2. Is there a way to reply to the people that have left comments on my entry, or must I send them a private message?

You're right, you have to wait until the end of the challenge.

Right again, PM or email is the only way.

ah man, mick..you are supposed to keep the entry very top secret thats in an unfinished challenge (from start of it to end of voting) and with your portfolio its obvious what your entry to painting with light is. pms are good, they go directly to the persons email account they signed up with..and since im just a poor registered 'non member' i cant help you on the stats ?.

Ah yeh, lizbeth is right. Please could you hide your challenge outtakes until the challenge is over? You can do this by moving them to your 'Workshop' folder, or just selecting them and pressing the 'Hide' button.

Oops! My bad. I hid all of the images and uploaded a dummy picture to represent the collection. I don't want to delete them because it was a pain to upload them all.

What about the actual entry itself? That showed up in my portfolio when I uploaded the entry. I did not put it there. Can others see it, or is it just visible to me?

Thanks for bringing this to my attention. I had not even thought about this being top secret and all.

Thanks for the wakeup call!

So, if I reply to the people that commented on my entry and answer their questions will I be violating the official secrets act? I don't want to get a visit from the FBI, CIA, NSA, OSS, or one of those other three letter places. Those people can be downright rude!

I guess I better go read the FAQ a little better.

Usually I upload my challenge pictures and then I move it to my challenge folder right away, when I view the folder in upload stats I can see all of my entrys including ones being voted on, but when I hit the view challenge folder link on the left under box it only shows me what has already been voted on. Hope this makes since.

During voting process no I dont think you can see how many people have gave you 1's or 10's but I think you can pretty much think of it like a math thing and sord of guess as voting process goes on add up 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10 and I think then you divide the sum of that by # of votes then by your average, I am no math wiz can someone else help explaining this?

And I usually wait till after the voting then I might reply by private message if they didnt understand have a question or just to say thankyou for the critigue.

I may be wrong, but I don't think that others can see the photo that automatically shows up in your portfolio when you submit an entry. If they can then I wasted my time hiding the other photos. Can you even view another person's portfolio?

You can see someone's portfolio by clicking on "Recent Portfolio Additions" on their Profile page.

You can't see people's current challenge entries in their portfolio. They don't show up until the challenge voting is complete. This is true even if you can see your entry in your own portfolio. So, don't worry, you don't have to "move" your challenge entries to keep others from seeing them.

It's not against the rules to answer questions with PMs during voting, however, using PMs to complain about a score and try to get people to change their vote is illegal.
