Hi fellow DPCers

This is my first time taking B&W nature photogrpahy and I would like your feedback if you could spare a few seconds. :-)

Here's one of the images

the gallery can be found here

Thanks!

It has a great mood, which certainly helps with the b&w, but personally I'm not too found of the tilted horizon. The cloud formation is great, but the overexposed sun seems to overwhelmingly dominate the scene and cause the treeline to be a lot darker than it probably is and thus lose some definition. Out of your gallery I think I like the first one the most. Again, it has a great mood and is a powerful image.

some nice photos there - looks to me like you are trying to use the suns white/bright to add major contrast to the shots. which works in a few of them ( the ones with the sun in them ). the close up shots seem a bit too busy.

nice job

BTW - what did you use for your site design. i've noticed your galleries are consistent, and load frames around the images. if its flash curious what version, and if its tied to a database - thanks

Hi Tim

What I use is very basic. It's the Photoshop automated gallery. And then I just change the BG color in a web editing software. Voilà! Nothing to it!

My favorite one would be the "tableglace" photo. It has good composition and contrast.
Leafandsnow is my second favorite. I like the texture in the leaves and the way the leaves curve. A little soft on the focus is my only complaint. Could just be a resize for web issue.
The pics with the sun are a little harsh for my tastes. The others just a bit too dark.

Overall - Nice!
