I am new at digital photography. I got a (relatively cheap) camera for christmas. Can anyone recommend a good photo editing program (not too expensive) that will give me some decent editing capabilities? One feature in particular I would like to have is the ability to change a picture black and white with the exception of one area or one color. Any help would be appreciated.

Gordon has a list of free and inexpensive editors in his profile, here. Those might help. |

You need to search for desaturation features of your editor. Well, desaturation are more a technique than a feature. PS does it as a child plays, but many others can do the same, not so easily, but can do it. |
