Wow! Looking at those it would appear the D3 is a piece of %&(*! The D3 samples are horrible!!!
This explains why Nikon would rather not have any images running around the net until the camera is available for sale. Because...... it's so easy to simply angle the sample lens in the photos and be sure it's not in exact focus or properly exposed, while ensuring the in the competing image it is aligned exactly perpendicular to the camera and the focus and exposure are dead on. Comparing oranges to lemons always leaves a bitter taste.

Yeah the soft focus really kinda messes up that sudo-comparison test. The MKIII guy could take his time the Nikon images were from a pre-production D3 and they were supposedly taken on the sly. But the images on Nikon's site look super tasty! Time will tell but I am sure we wont be disappointed once some images start being shot by pros who know how to use a camera...
