Yes - and you will love it. I have it for my D70. Just make sure to buy the one made for Nikon! ;-)

Yes, as long as you buy the Nikon mount version.

I have it for my D200 and it is a fantastic lens. You'll love it.

ok....am I an idiot???

the lens says SD 12-24 F4 (IF)DX

the box says 12-24 F4 Aspherical AT-X124 Pro DX

the auction listing said 12-24mm f4 AT-X Pro DX

did I get the right lens? (guess I don't 'speak' lens)

Also, please explain the One Touch Focus Clutch....is it as simple as if rotated all the way to the right it works with the camera's autofocus but if you twist it out of that position you are in manual focus?

Thanks for not ridiculing me with my dumb questions.

Yes, that's it.

I didn't know it's called "One Touch Focus Clutch", but if you click the focus ring towards the camera, it goes into manual focus, and away from the camera, it goes into auto focus.

edit: fix quote problems

IMO, this is the weakness of the lens, but I have never used the manual focus with this lens...
Otherwise, very good performance and very well built!

Thank you....for the first glance yesterday I didn't notice the 'One Touch Focus Clutch'...thought I got a manual focus lens...was looking today to see if I didn't read the auction right...then I thought the lens was reading different from the box, etc...

Thank you for setting me straight!

for the 2 test shots, I loved it!!

Maybe you're right, and maybe I am. Either way you look at it, it's... wait for it... half-ass! ;P
