After reading through a few of the photographer's comments on PP for one of the recently completed challenges, I have a couple of questions (rhetorical I thought) regarding Basic Editing.

1) Is HDR from a single raw image legal? Is there a legal method to do HDR in basic?

2) Can a thin border be added to the interior of an image?

HDR on a single copy of an image has been allowed all along in Basic. I use a stand alone version of Photomatix Pro to do the tonemapping a single copy of a RAW and this has been allowed in the past. HDR using Multiple copies of the same image is not allowed in basic.

Not sure how you do the cool borders in basic. Hopefully, someone else can help you out with that piece...

Not having used the program, I thought HDR and Tonemapping were different things.
