just wanted to thank all those that took time to comment on my NG entry. it's obvious a few folks took a liking to it.
I knew it wouldn't fare so well, but liked the photo.
during the week - we had sunlight simlilar to the day i took the cat photo, so i tried to incorporate the comments into a 2nd attempt at the same sort of shot. - its all the exact same camera settings, but slightly less exposure compensation - bringing out the left hand eye. i also interpreted the rule of thirds my own way with the colors in this shot, which i think adds some depth which was lacking in the entered photo.

I loved your original and gave it a 10. I normally comment on my 10s but ran out of time, sorry. Anyway, I think it's fantastic :)

to be honest - i really captured our cats attitude with that photo, but just couldn't get her to open her eyes more because the sunlite was sooo bright.
under exposed 2 stops.
