So I took the plunge and bought my 1st SLR, with some great input from a few of you in previous posts. I followed the advice (somewhat) given my budget, of getting an affordable body, the XTI, and saving for some good lenses later. I got the kit lens and the 75-300mm f/4.0-5.6 III USM. I know the 2nd lens is not high end, but I wanted something to reach across the kid's soccer field now. I will need to save up for the 200mm f2.8 before the indoor season comes. I know, with all the talk about the new Canon bodies, the XTI is boring.
