Harry Potter was somehow sterile and remote for me. The new Dumbeldore has no chemistry with Harry, and the whole film somehow felt like a Harry Potter veneer, unlike the depth and energy of previous ones.
I saw Moon (it was finally showing in my area) and it is worth hunting for.
Looking forward to District 9. |

Saw it last night too. I was impressed because it was well acted, one of those first rate thrillers, like the sixth sense, predictable yes, but I learned a few things from it and I thought of myself as a "ghost guru"
8/10 , pretty creepy film. |

Aliens in the Attic - 8/10 for the kids.
It was about what I expected. The boys thought it was hilarious. I think Ashley Tisdale looks great in a bikini, so there was a little something in it for me. |

I saw Funny People last night and honestly it's not what I expected. For one the length of the movie was entirely too long, it could have been cut in half by taking all the second part of the movie out. It dragged, was semi-funny (If you're into repetative "Dick" Jokes), and didn't have a since of direction for most of the movie. I honestly would not recommend this, but if you must see it wait to see it to rent because I wish I had a pause button. 3/10 |

The Proposal got a 8/10 for me.
Had me laughing out loud randomly but Sandra and Rian dont have that spark you would expect.
Great film for me! |

Mall Cop - 6.5/10
comical romance story, with some child-safe action.
entertaining and funny, but left some to be desired. |

Loved that movie. Don't know what it is but still one of my favs.
Last movie was Indiana Jones and the Crystal Skull. 6/10
It lacked in the Indy intellect and comedy, but it was fun to watch. |

I am in complete agreement. I just bought it and watched the BLU-RAY on a 50 inch plasma. Unbelievable.

I must respectfully disagree. I think the movie was brilliant. Sandler at his best and Seth Rogen like he's never been. I agree that the movie was a lot longer than I expected....but it had such heart and such a reality to it. However, I know that if you go expecting a usual Apatow movie or a regular Rogen movie or a regular Sandler movie you will be greatly disappointed. I loved everything about it. |

read the graphic novel. love the ending change, very appropriate. very well acted and great visuals and music. It kills me every time I watch it (also in Blu-Ray on a 50 inch plasma) with what happens with Rorschach. geesh... |

The only BlueRay I own is the Dark Knight,I have a 61" samsung DLP, looks amazing a bit clearer than HD, bought Watchmen on DVD, but a mistake I just realized, the visuals are great, and its done with set design mostly,..instead of CGI. I just missed the novel in 86, started collecting in 89. |

HP and the Half-Blood Prince: 6/10.
I thought the previous Harry Potter Movie (... Order of the Phoenix) was the best in the series by far. It was moving truly when a major character died. Imelda Staunton was brilliant as Prof. Umbridge. And that final scene in the Ministry of Magic was exciting. That movie told a complete, exciting story with an impressive economy.
Unfortunately, Half-Blood Prince meandered all over the place (like the book, possibly), squandering talent. What was it about, anyway? Quidditch? Who cares! Rupert Grint's love potion scene? Embarassing. When near the end the identity of the half blood prince is revealed, it's like "... and?" It was bad movie-making. |

Night At the Museum 2 - 7.5/10
sequels are not easy to do, but they almost got it right with this one.
although still sticking to the same story about things coming to life at the museum, they managed to insert in fresh ideas, and it doesn't disappoint. |

Apocalypse Now: 8/10
This movie is awesome but simply too long. The imagery, symbolism and message of this film is far more important than the acting (which is still good) and plot.
If it was 30 minutes shorted i'd give it a 10/10 which i promised myself i would never do.

Julie and Julia: 5/10
0 points for Julie and 5 for Julia. This was half of a great film and half of a trivial film tossed together like an unfortunate salad.
but for me the good half was so good that it was worth the price.
