7-10..
Really bizzare story line- quite a few funny moments-- actually laughed the hardest during the credits--
Just not a 10/10 for me.
I enjoyed step brothers much more. |
weird. I laughed watching both but I am going to be buying the Hangover when it comes out on DVD. Step brothers was worth a look but not a keeper. To each his own I guess. :) |

beautiful movie. |
My wife read the book just before seeing the movie. She loved the book but felt that the movie changed things far too much. |

UP - 9.9/10
Might have missed half a beat somewhere in there, but no movie is perfect. This one comes close however, it was just a great work of entertainment that actually plucked at the heart strings, Pixar does beautiful work I tell you. |

Knowing by Nicholas Cage - 7.5/10
This isn't bad at all, but a little predictable towards the end. |

Not really, didn't think all would perish. As for the angels, I knew they'd show true face eventually.
Just saw Curious case of Benjamin Button
Rating it a 6.5/10 for it's high production, but it was a movie about nothing.

A Murder of Crows (1999) 5/10 - The acting was not great and while the plot was interesting and slightly plausible, the movie couldn't pull off the believability of it. Overall it was mildly entertaining. |

Last in theaters- Terminator Salvation 6/10 It was okay. I had fun because I saw it with my friends I guess.
Last on DVD- I think was Gran Torino 8.5/10 It was a lot better than I thought it would be.
Anybody see the movie in theaters Public Enemies yet? I had read lots of mixed reviews and still really want to see it. |

I'm not sure Public Enemies is my type of movie, nothing but rushed filmmaking, few takes, no character development...however, the movie I saw last night had plenty of that, The Miracle at St. Anna directed by my paisano Spike Lee
Epic film, shot on location mostly, battle scenes were reminicent of the old war films, but loved Spike's choice of camera/lens and lighting used for the film!

Just got back from Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince. I read the books over a year ago, so the story wasnt completely fresh in my mind when I saw it. My girlfriend just finished reading Half Blood Prince for the second time this week. So, while I really liked the movie, she could point out a lot more parts that werent faithful to the book, or parts that were missing in the movie that were integral to the book.
So, I would give the movie and 8/10, while she might give it a 6 or 7 (I didnt ask her yet). |

I saw public enemies last week. I was really looking forward to it because I love Michael Mann's movies (Heat, Collateral especially). Public Enemies disappointed me. I expected more because I liked his other movies, but found this one to be a little boring. Mind you, I was really tired when I saw the movie, so maybe I wasnt in the right frame of mind. I want to give it a second shot when its available for rental. |

I saw the movie at the midnight release and I thought it was really good. I personally think it did a good job of sticking to the book (although a few more memories would have been nice.) It seems like each movie fits true to the book by becoming progressively darker, not only just story wise, but also with the film colors. I enjoy the more dark and mature side of the story. I give it an 8.5/10 |

I'm sure Harry Potter 6 was very very good, glad its getting so many good reviews, I thought after so many films, the producers might have gotten fat by now. |

I saw Public Enemies a couple weeks ago. 6 of 10 for me.
I saw Ice Age last week. Pretty good. I saw the 2D version as I'm over the 3D effects now and find them annoying. 7 of 10 |

The Great Buck Howard 6/10 - quirky comedy about a character loosely based on the Amazing Kreskin. Moderately entertaining.

Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince
8.8/10
Great movie, although it's moving into mushy-gushy teenage romance which was annoying sometimes (even though I'm 18), the film presents itself with more of an edge that the past Harry Potters did not. The storyline is much more accurate to the book IMO, so this will probably please those die-hard fans. Anyways it's worth seeing.

The Legend of 1900 staring Tim Roth, came out in 1998
The story of 1900 who was born on a ship and lived at sea all his life, he had an amazing talent on the piano. Strange film but worth watching
8/10

Went to see the new Harry Potter at my wife's insistence.
Would rather have had red hot pins poked into my eyes! 3 hours of complete emptiness - nothing happened and even the SFX weren't enough to cover the lack of plot.
I personally wish Harry would fall into the Cracks of Doom and do us all a favour!
-3/10
