I'm new to photograpy and I'm looking for a good camera over my point and shoot. It was in the repair shop for 5 weeks and they didn't fix it a bit. So I'm going for a new camera. So far I have two major cameras I'm thinking of purchasing: Pentax K 100D Super and the Canon 300D Rebel.

My price range is anywhere from $400 to $600. Can anyone reccommend a new camera for me?
