Just a reminder to those who might have lost this one in the shuffle...

I've already changed mine 3 times.... I think I'm good now, maybe.... But hey, at least I have 24 more hours to stew over it, right? :)

This is my first Expert Editing (Trial) entry, so I'm sure it will go over like a lead balloon.

Hopefully there will be no DNMC threads regarding this challenge...

I am definitely waiting for it.
Though I am sure I will not score as high as I scored in last free study, but this photo is meaningful photo. Something that I would call art. (in other words I am ready for score of 5.5).
But it is my most valuable photo so far, given the emotional importance it has for me.

With ya all the way! I love my shot but I know how good some of the members are with PS so I'm not expecting to much.

I am not good in expert PS editing so what if someone submit an almost advance editing photo in this challenge?

Well, I did, and I'm seriously convinced it will do well.

dang it, I had my days mixed up. I just got an entry in last night and was so eager to see how it does...I'm so glad I only have 6 days left being on the other side of the world and being on the wrong day from the server lol. If we get everyone to run west we might be able get the earths rotation to speed up and make time go faster...would that help?

I think you have reason to feel this strongly. :)

The last time we had Expert editing in a freestudy it was a minimally edited shot that won it. I have tried to avoid over-editing my shot this time, in fact mine would be legal in an advanced editing challenge.. definitely no zombies this time!

Freestudy winner.

I guess if you did a "paid" study, you would NMC :)

I am thinking my shot is one of the best I have ever entered. That being said I haven't gone all out on Photoshop so it will probably be another average score.. As long as it hits 6.4ish I will be content.

Mine is barely Advanced Editing, but I am afraid people might think it's more than one image and although that is allowed, many of the purists don't like it. Oh well... I do!!!
08/31/2007 09:59:07 AM · #19
Yeah, I'm no good with the expert stuff. I think I'd tend not to know when to stop and go overboard. So another barely advanced entry here too. Glad to see I'm not alone and in good company as well. :)

Advanced editing here as well......and I love my image.....so it will most likely bomb. I can't wait until rollover - I've been sitting on this one far too long!!!!!

Simon & Garfunkel playing in the background...I am hoping to make it as that I am trying to finish editing it. This has to have been the hardest challenge for me 7 photo shoots to get it right....

Anyway, took a break to check in.

Good Luck to all who enter.

12 hours 43 minutes to go Tick, Tick Tick:-)

Edit: tis 4:15 p.m. now and I got my entry in (Entry 404) !!!! Heh, I might change it twice more before rollover:-)

Would be real ironic if you were listening to Simon's Kodachrome, processing a digtial image, shot with an Olympus lol.

I know what you mean, I stepped out of my comfort zone on this and tried some new stuff, I love the outcome (wife perfers the original) but am eager to see what others think. I know it's not a blue, red or yellow ribbon taker, I just hope it's not a brown either. :D

well I'm in, no chance it will be mistaken for basic or advanced editing so fingers crossed

The issue I have with the free studies, or any expert editing challenges is how to vote when the final results is much more of an illustration than a photo. Many time I just skip voting on those images because it is difficult for me vote using the normal criteria I use for photography.

Any thoughts/comments?
