OK. I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed. On this picture (03-Sep) I got the following comment:
... but overall it has a snapshot feel to it.

I presume that isn't a compliment, but I don't get it - what about this looks like a snapshot, and why is it less than desirable?

Once in awhile that phrase will get used. It's not always meant to be disrespectful or anything. Generally it means that the photo looks like a quick grab the camera, point and shoot kind of shot. Usually associated with cute kid or pet pics that would be nice to have in a family photo album, but perhaps not mounted and framed on the wall. Consider it a polite way of saying that a photo may not be "artistic". Hey, not all of them are, mine certainly included. :)

I like how you used quick shutterspeed to freeze the water. nice photo :-)
