Don't know if this has been posted before. but came across this amazing way to crop images! You can resize images by cropping/adding pixels without loosing proportions - its simply brilliant!

| Pretty cool technique, but seems a little unnatural. As he alluded to at the beginning, it would be best utilized by graphic artists who are trying to make an image conform to a certain space on a screen. I don't think it has much application for true photography. |
