Speaking strictly numbers... but not as votes are concerned. |
Okay I have updated the list....I am glad to see so many willing to have some fun instead of listening to all the complaints.
Speaking of which... littlegett...this is a fun challenge. I simply picked a magic score out of thin air for everyone to aim for. I do know that there have been countless threads in the past analyzing what is an average score. I suggest that you go and complain in that thread about it. This thread is for fun and lots of trashtalk. I am in no way trying to put anyone down..but instead make a good thread out of too much whinging (or whining for the non-Aussies). There are challenges out there for the best score and there are side challenges for the worst score...and here is a side challenge for somewhere in the middle. Maybe you might win...and maybe you might be able to set the next score to aim for. Come on...smile. Please?
But I do extend my hand to you and ask you to join this challenge. Come and have some fun.

Yeah, the original post and participation here is all just for fun. I hope nobody is offended by having fun talking about "mediocre".
Anyway. I got real close to the goal earlier, really, really close, but now the score's off on a tangent again. Those voters anyway! |

Just kidding, this is my absolute worst in challenges so far. I think you call it personal brown in the forums? I am kinda new to this forum thing (edit: and I type like crap :-() but I do think we are making a pretty cool, but mediocre bunch.
MEDIOCRE IS THE NEW COOL!!

OK, since I'm no good at "trash talk", I decided to throw synonyms at Deb. here it goes (in alphabetical order):
Balderdash! Bilge! Bunkum! Claptrap! Drivel! Hogwash! Hokum! Inanity! Malarkey! Nonsense! Prating! Rot! Rubbish! Tripe! Twaddle!
Come to think of it, some of those would work as image titles. Hmmmmm .... |

Comments: 3 <-- 2 of those comments told me I did it wrong. Not DNMC, mind you, just technically not the way it is "supposed to" be done. They just don't realize - Art is never wrong. Oh sure, I get comments like "That's just wrong!" or "That's wrong on so many levels", but I don't think I've ever submitted anything "wrong" before. LOL - I have to go back to being "wrong on so many levels" - it's more fun...on so many levels, that is.
I have no hope of climbing up Mt. Mediocrity. |

You had better believe it. The Mediocres can look down and see others trying to get where they already are...and they can look up and see where they are aiming to be. Way cool.

Don't count your chickens before they hatch. Judging by the fighting in the other threads over this challenge...our scores are going to be flying all over the place for the next week. Hold on folks...we are in for a ride. I personally lost 1.5 in 9 votes earlier...that is a massive drop. So hold on tight!

Well I was 5.65 and thought I was looking good. Five minutes later and score as as shown below with one positive comment. I'm looking good at this stage. I better start trying to understand what I have to do if I win - do ya think!! ha ha ha ha

I might have had a better chance of reaching mediocrity with a humdrum, run-of-the-mill shot of standard plastic white bread. |

Is that the closest without going over? Or the closest on either side? What are the tie-breaking rules in case two or more folks have the same "close-ness"? :-)
I know, I know...details, details...I'm so anal. ;-)

The closest from either side. And in the event of a tie...then the winners will work together on a punishment. You know how it goes...two heads are...well you know the story!

Oh yes. Would I have known that we're all aspiring for a standard, mainstream, undistinguished score, I'd worked harder on my so-so, familiar, garden-variety, vanilla image. |
