I have been taking pictures all my life and for as long as I can remember. In fact, with the first equivalent to 15$, I saved, in Jordanian Dinars back in 1968 (was I born then??!!) I bought a 120mm camera that was so beautifully basic. After that, my father who taught me all the basics of photography gave me his KODAK retina reflex 4 which I used until a got my Minolta X-700 in 1980 and the story goes on.
Yesterday, I won a red ribbon, and quite honestly I am overwhelmed by the support and comments of the kind people here. So, and for the sake of showing my appreciation to DPC, I would like to show the improvement I made since I became active here by the one logical way, I am posting my first entry next to my winning one.
And the deference between both reflects the magnitude of my appreciation to this community and Site.

This was one of my favorite images of the challenge. The lighting control is stunning. I don't know how much processing you put into the image but it seems so natural. It gave me the impression of being their. The shot was not only great technically it was also a fun shot to view. So many elements to capture the views attention and it was on challenge topic. I feel you nailed it.
Congratulations.

Dear friend
but you must remember this comment you made on another picture of mine. I just love to read it. it makes me laugh every time.
Here it is.
Blackbox sai[b]d:'...but I always make sure I stand in the shadow of somebody else when posing for a snapshot' I'd have given it a 1, you get a 1, 1 for you. Oh wait...it was 'Free Study' and I forgot - I don't give 1's anymore since I'm not 'new' and I don't play the DNMC game either. You 'GO' with your bad self! Brightest Blessing and good luck with the future...
EDIT -
I decided my comment here sucked but I'm leaving it so all can see how stupid I can be...time for anger management pills....ah, that's better! (I still don't really think 'DNMC' is a helpful comment by itself)...L8R...^V^

Hi Tareq,
Yes, I certainly remember the above quote of mine to one of your photos. And thanks for dragging it into the forums! Ha ha! That was a bad time for me at DPC and I've had one or two since. I left the original quote to remind myself of those times.
