I'm look at the two battery packs at the top of this page on the B & H Photo Site.

Have anybody here tried these and are they any good? My batteries didn't work worth crap last night when I needed them! Unfortunately I need them again for tomorrow nite. I'm looking for anything that will make my flash work/last longer....if I can find something I'll see if I can overnight it.

Help! :)

Never used those, so can't say about those. They still use AA's, 8 of them, so you'll probably want to get new AA's to put in there instead of your old ones that give you trouble. I use a Quantum Turbo which will last me a whole day and gives me almost instant recycle times. It's quite a bit more expensive (kind of hurt actually spending that much on a battery), but it's built like a tank and I use it just about every weekend so I'm getting my money's worth.

I have 2 of these, one for my 580EX one for my 550EX. I only use them when shooting high speed sports with flash(football, basketball, and such) But they last and last. I use Energizer 2500mah rechargables in the flashes as well as in the battery pack. I loved my first one so much I bought another.

Hey Matt,
which flash do you have? I have the Sigma 500 super...and I'm not sure those packs I listed will work. However, I did find the quantum thing online that telehubbie was talking about....by the time I found it it was after B&Hphoto's overnight shipping time :/ I don't think I could find one around her in Panama.

As far as I know the Sigma 500 super does not have the ability to take an external battery pack. One of the reasons I sold mine and went with the Canon 580EX because the canon would. I now also have a 550EX canon flash as a backup that will take the pack. If you want an external flash I'm going to assume your going to have to buy a different flash.
