Problem is it only works if you get shot in the back.

Frightening that that is what it comes to, but seriously.. I think that a great idea. I mean it may be a bit heavy but if your running away your back is towards the shooter, of if a gunmen is shooting in a crowded place put the bag between the shooter and you! seriously sad that this is what its like, but If I was in a violent place I'd get it...

Whats funny is that most schools (at least in DE) dont let the kids carry backpacks anyway.

What a kid can hide with shirt untucked
Our school is switching to uniforms coming this fall. Parents LOVE it!

wow.. usa , is a very weird country, bullet proof back pack! dont worry about any school shotting any more.... the desciption is very freaky..

I just heard on the radio that a company in england is making kevlar school uniforms since stabbings in schools there have become more common.
