Does anyone know if the Nikon D50 has a place to embed a copyright message? If so, can anyone please tell me how to do this? It is not listed in the manual, and I can find no info on the net. Thanks.

Most high-end cameras come with software which allow you to customize one or more of the EXIF fields, but I'm not familiar with how to do it with your model. The field is usually at the end of the EXIF and is labelled as "Owner" as in this sample from my Canon (as you can see, I haven't customized mine either) ...

Search your manual for "Image comment". That's where the D200 can store a copyright statement, and I'm pretty sure my D70 used the same area, so I suspect all Nikon DSLRs use the same entry in the EXIF or other Data areas.

yes it does. it's in the 'spanner' menu under 'image comment'.

Yes, I have found where it has image comment and have adjusted accordingly. What I am trying to do is if someone would want to download my image from the net, it would pop up a message that this image is copyrighted.

I don't think you can embed something like that into a JPG. You will have to code some Java onto the site.

Thanks for the help folks. I have found what I needed and taken care of it. Thank you.
