I sometime use Adobe Bridge to transfer pictures to my hard drive using the "copy to" option. Does Bridge leave the images alone so I can submit a valid original to DPC if necessary?

It depends on your set up for bridge. If you have it set to auto rotate images that are verticals, you may have a problem, but I cannot say for sure as I do not use that method.

To be honest I am not sure why you would want to view the images while on the camera, before transferring them anyways.

My method involved just opening the camera folder on my computer, select all, copy, then paste into new folder on the computer which is then my original files. I then create a sub folder inside that one which is to put edited files in. I usually keep the same dsc001 type name with "edit" added to the end so that I can never mix it up with an original.

I use a card reader and I don't always want to transfer everything...some things are crap.

Well then select which files you want to copy. Same way you would if you were plugging in your camera to the usb, or putting in a cd that you needed to copy files off of.

I know how to transfer the files...I am just wondering how Adobe Bridge deals with downloading files.

I would also like to know why my bridge seems to be altering my images once I highlight them. It seems like it does some automatic edit which is definately changing my photo. How do I stop or clear this function? i have cs3
