Outside in the local neighbourhood about 10 mins ago, shooting a potential free study entry. Switching lenses, dropped my beloved 18-200mm. Expletives (in English, so not to offend the locals!). I put the lens back on, it is working at the 18 mm end, but is stuck right there. This is my favourite and most used (not to mention most expensive) lens. Any suggestions other than just take it to be repaired? |

Don't touch it and take it to get fixed. I dropped a lens about a month ago and I did more damage trying to fix it then just dropping it.
Not what you want to here but you don't want to mess it up anymore then it already is. |

That's what I figured. Thanks! Keep your fingers crossed. Wouldn't mind but the result of the shoot was pretty mediocre at best. Darn it. |

Yes, just take it to be repaired. It's more likely that you will further break it than repair it by messing with it. Good luck. I know it sucks.

Thanks! I hope so too. I have been too depressed today to go and find a better shot. So, no quick free study for me this weekend. |
