I've been taking a sign language course for the past month, and have an assignment due on Wednesday, to be handed in on DVD, I assume so the teacher can watch on a DVD player on a TV set.
I'm planning on doing it using the video function on my point & shoot camera, which I think creates AVI files. I've made a few video using the free Microsoft "Windows Movie Maker" before, which can create WMV files, which are fine for YouTube.
I think if I handed in a WMV file on CD, the teacher would be OK with it, he's a very smart cookie. But a DVD is what he asked for.
Is there some easy bit of freeware or method to burn a WMV file onto a DVD disk, to make a DVD that will play when you put it into a standard DVD player you'd find under someone's TV?

You could use something like VSO ConvertXtoDVD. I'm sure there's a free version around somewhere. It'll let you select the avi files you want to upload and then it puts it together for you. You can even do a menu if you wished!

You might just have to turn in still images...

There is a free trial of this. Might want to just give it a try, can't hurt.
