Thank you so much for posting all the images  Nikolai1024. I love seeing them, but it hurts me to not be there sharing the fun with all of the group. I hope the salt water does not cause trouble with your 12-24 lens.

| Looks like a great time was had by all. There are some wonderful pictures among what I see posted here. Mayhap one day when scheduling does not come into conflict (and no emergency dental visits on the weekend) I could join in on a gathering. |

| i would love to come on the gtg's with you all but i just cant afford it...(one day i will) specially living across he pond from everyone...so hope you all have a fab time and take some good shoots for me. |

This GTG was so good that NYC airport didn't want to let me come back. We got held up because of the weather and I got home at 5AM. Hey.. who can complain about extra 6 hrs in Florida?
Thank you Robert for organizing this. You did an amazing job at picking hotels and places of interest.
Thank you everybody else for making this GTG a real pleasure to attend.
Looking forward to the next one.

Just to clarify: I did not type each picture number manually. I have a way to generate lists of photos to post in thread. So don't think I spend 5 hrs each day editing and typing numbers in. I'm not that crazy.

I totally missed this GTG, and, everyone was at Dry Tortugas on my birthday too. If the GTG has a repeat next season, I will just have to get away for a few days and go.
This time I had to choose between the Keys and going to the Baja 1,000 race for a week. I can go to the keys about anytime, but not with the DPC group. I am still bummed out that I didn't get to at least do one day and meet everyone. Thanks everyone for sharing all the great pics, video, and snapshots.
I am impressed with how many images that Nikolai1024 shot that are very similar to ones that I have in my flies from trips down that way.
It may still be dark in the Keys since all of you captured all of the available light for a week.

We were talking about that at the GTG. I can't think of any reason not to try and make this an annual event, even if it isn't the same crowd next year. I could hit the keys almost anytime and be happy. There are margaritas and beers all over the place, and, if you are looking for key lime pie...the Barracuda Grill has the best in the WORLD. Here is a shot of me looking at our $196 bill (just two of us) after 3 slices and two, no, three, no SOME beers.

I'm still sorting through my shots from the GTG, and I am still on the first day. These are from the third stop we made: The Wild Bird Center. Here injured birds are given a refuge and fed each day. The rest of the birds in the area know about the feeding too, and flock in at dinner time for the hand outs.
Here is just a sampling of the birds we saw there.
     
P.S. Don't strain your eyes on the first photo. There are no birds in that picture. I just liked the trees.

Finally reached the end of the first day. We stayed on Islamorada and ate at this restaurant over looking Florida Bay. The pink Cadillac is a water taxi.
