so, I'd like to get a new one. I have an Epson R300 which has worked well for me but I'd like to get a printer so that I don't have to spend the time or money waiting for my prints to come back from a lab.
My question is...what do you use? I don't do very many shoots, yet and I would like to consider a printer to do 11x14 prints.
Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!!
Peace & cheers,
g
I'm looking at this model Canon Printer

| I just bought the Epson Stylus photo 1400... it produces GREAT prints up to 13x18, and you can use rolls of paper is you desire. |

A new HP photo printer is getting good reviews. Thought you might want to check it out. One review is at Luminous Landscape. It's about in the same price range as the Canon you're looking at.

Some relevant information linked in my profile description if you want to understand those DPI numbers and read some technical babble about Epson and Canon.
I've never really been much of an HP fan... I find that their colors tend to fade, their ink cartridges tend to dry up very easily and I can't stand their invasive software.
I've had to remove so much HP software from so many friends' computers...
Also, HP's fine printing isn't quite up to Epson or HP's standards...
The line is very fine at the 500 dollar level, a little easier to make the choice down in my price range. (100-150 USD) |
