I couldn't find this anywhere so decided to post. Watched a wonderful program this evening on PBS..."At Close Range" with National Geographic. It was a story on photographer Joel Sartore. What an amazing and inspiring photographer! The guy's got skills! If anyone is interested...PBS link If you are into nature photography, this photographer's stuff will amaze you. This may be old hat info for some, but for a somewhat "fresh" photographer, I found this photographer and his images inspiring.
Just thought I'd share.

And he is a Nikon user too boot! Woohoo. :)

Kidding aside, he is a truly great photographer who has a ton of passion.

Seemed very genuine and down to earth I though. (GREAT sense of humor.)

Met him a year ago at the PPSNY Conference in the Catskills. He's a very "real" guy. Super enthusiastic! Great story-teller!

(...and one of the last Nat. Geo. photogs to go digital, btw.)

Great show! Just by accident I also caught it on PBS a few months back. Netflix seems to carry the dvd , so I'll be renting it for another view.

I like the bit at the end of that clip, where he misses his shot. I say the same thing in my head all the time.
