Hi,
Can I use IR filter (like Hoya R72) on my camera for a basic editing challenge ? |

I would think that is perfectly fine to do however you will not be able to SPOT EDIT it afterwards..

Absolutely! You can use any filter/special effect ON your camera that you want to (i.e. - soft focus, ND Grad, starburst, etc...).
