Aw, they're closing! Is there anything we can do to save another photo site from closing?

I dont know but this photo by Mel Brackstone is amazing!!! i love it!!!

on a side note i know we are tryint o save the site... but i mean if they want to close down .... bring them here =)

Shutterbugs might have been able to stay open longer if they supported more photographers. I have been submitting there for years. In the past year I have not had many photos selected as photo-of-the-day whereas before that I did. Photos that have been chosen as photo-of-the-day at several other photo sites, photos that have scored very well here. Photos that made it to Kodak's big screen in Times Square. For some reason Shutterbugs has been choosing photos from the same artists over and over again.
If their viewership has gone down it very well could be because of that reason.

Karen,
I have seen your photos there and love them. I have also won photo of the day four times and Best of Catagory once, which was a real thrill. I have to agree with you about the site always picking the same photographers over and over. I still sit in awe of these great people and will be sad that it's gone.

| May be the problem is with the fact that in the voting procedure...the names of the photographers are also specified...as a result of which people have banded together... |
