Anyone know the quickest way to tell how many shutter actuations my 5D has performed since I have had it? I know I had a problem with the filename reflecting these details a while back, so what I am looking for is something that tells me exactly how many times I have taken a shot with this camera.

Thanks!

might be..

Theres a certain 1d mk III I have my eye on..

Obviously if the new 5D successor ups the framerate to 5fps and improves the AF a bit then maybe I would be tempted by that AND a 16-35 f2.8

Oh, and stick some weatherproofing on it.

we'll see.

I posted this same question a while back. The answers I got said it can only be seen by a Canon service technician.

If you haven't used cards from other cameras and have always used the continuous file name setting, the file name should be an accurate way of seeing the shutter actuations. I'm not sure of any other way to see the count that you can do yourself.

The card thing is where I screwed up.. using one of Mr Saberis cards about 1 month after I got my camera.. GIT!
