Now this really blows, I just realized that the challenge rules were changed, and I submitted for the original rules, I went through the rediculous procudure to get a shot with the background upside down and the subjuct upside right!!!!!! Totally taken upside down, I think I'm gonna have to pull the image out, because its now the total opposite of what the rules say now!!!! The subject was a pain in the axx to even get to cooperate in the first place! What to do.......looks like I'm not submitting this week afterall, now that I am mad, looks like a good time to vote on some photos. ;)~

First off, the RULES did not change. The challenge description changed, to be no description at all so what you've done is one interpretation of the title.

So screw it, it can't be any worse than pictures I've submitted in the past, if it fails, so be it!

Absolutely. If it meets the first challenge description, it meets the revised challenge description. Give it a shot. I'm in the same boat myself, actually.

I'm in that same boat. too! Will be interesting to see how we fare! Should be an exciting and a fascinating study in the degree of human compassion and consciousness. (Not something for which DPC members are known!)

Why do you feel broad wide-sweeping insults are necessary?

Uh oh. I think I'll go into the other challenge. When Robert gets around boats, ribbons happen.

Pray tell, how am helpless I supposed to turn the camera when I shoot a vertical scene, clockwise or counter-clockwise?

It depends on whether you are in the northern or southern hemisphere. The Coriolis effect is more profoundly influential than most think. To be specific, your photos will improve if you rotate your camera CCW in the northern latitudes. And CW in the southern latitudes. At the equator, it's a free move!

I can see how my words might have been interpreted as an insult. Sorry about that! I meant to suggest this challenge was an opportunity for DPC members to exhibit compassion and demonstrate consciousness.

Thank you, you noble wise man for opening my eyes and shedding the last shadow of confusion from my mind's I relating to this challenge! Off I go now to flush the toilet so that this humble me can see on which hemisphere confused I is.

Or, maybe this exercise was meant to prove the Hollow Earth hypothesis...

Everyone knows the Coriolis effect is not the determining factor in the rotation of water in toilets or bathtubs. I understand how you may have become confused. However, hurricanes and camera orientations are separate matters from bathtubs and toilets. You just have to know where you are to be in sync with the forces of nature. Hurricanes can't be wrong. I'll give 'em the benefit of the doubt.

O you noble wise gentle man, may you have a long and prosperous life and a bathtub or a toilet bowl with a small Rossby number, so that the effects of that Frenchman on the drain of water from your bathtub or toilet bowl might become detectable, thus visible, and as a cause of visibility registrable on a charged-coupled-device, hence publishable on the illustrious pages of the lovely world people cite as digital photography challenge dot com. But, with a broken heart and without volition I must point that your first statement perhaps doeth an err in the divine field of logic, as it is obvious that not everyone knows, which is demonstrated by the long and sometimes bitter discussions that bring life and joy to this thread. But, again, unworthy me must humbly retreat and leave some space for doubt as to what is considered \"everybody\" and what is considered \"know\", because in today\'s, but also yesterday\'s worlds nobody has a camera and the knowledgeable know nothing, as their foremost primer teacher has concluded. As for the magnificent hurricanes, I\'ve never met any of them, so to sit and have a nice discussion and take an impression or a glimpse of their wisdom and patterns of thought. Hence,, I must thankfully receive your notion that they never ever are wrong, and this may be even when they are drunk. Now let me wish you a very good and pleasant night and a lot of fortuna on the pursue for the most blueth signum of achievement that people refer to as the Blue Ribbon.

Really, I must sleep now, busy day tomorrow. Have a good night and good luck to all.

So, why complain so fervently, yet refuse to enter the challenge? No insult intended! Just wondering why.
