I did read the description, and some of the non-street (ie not on a street) shots fit quite well, while others do not. Bear in mind also that only a small percentage of voters read the scores thread and/or forum posts, and some submitters/voters don't read the description, either.

Point and shooters? You insulted me.

Man, you're strung a little tight, aren't you? I'm quite proud to have ribboned with a point and shoot camera. In fact, all of my top scores are with point and shoots, and they're all 6.5 and up.

MAK: welcome back!

Jutilda: glad to see your nice score! You seemed to like my entry. :)

Hotpasta: can I borrow a little of your "missing" mojo? If I had a run like you've had the last 5 entries, I'd be very happy.

Routerguy: People must have seriously downgraded their prior votes. Otherwise, it's impossible to go from 6.2 at 34 votes to 5.5 at 37 votes. I mean, three ones would have left you with 5.8. Sorry to hear it!

As for me, it looks like the time was well spent:

You and your ghost accounts at work, eh? Son of a!

Last two challenges I've gone the creeper score route with a steady climb after an initial ass kicking. So hopefully the same will hold for this one.

Down we go. I really need to follow my own advice to ignore scores during the first day. If this were the first score I'd seen, I'd be thrilled!

*goes to find his memory wiper thingy*

Yippee! What a nice, high score! ;)

Congratulations! Ummm...although I'm happy to see you have a healthy fantasy life...perhaps some bananas should be reserved for your private use only? YIKES!!!

Score: 6.36

I got hit by the trolls too. Mine was at about 6.55 earlier. Sigh. I think maybe Melethia has the right idea to turn the scores off till you hit about 100. Too bad I'm too obsessive to do that tho :(

I sure have seen some awesome ones tho!

Well, thanks to this thread and the other one, I reread the rules of the challenge and changed my vote on most of the ones I originally gave a lower vote. This includes 2 photos that I really loved! I really do try to have an open mind when voting, but I sometimes feel that many people are trying to push the envelope and see what they can squeeze into the challenge. I can change my mind, but not when I read nasty comments about how I voted. Then I get stubborn. The ones I changed, as it has been pointed out here, did meet the DPC rules of the challenge.

OK, I don't know why I bother. I've gone from 6.00 this morning (euro time!) down to 5.2 now. I give up.

Thank you. My score just bumped up over a 0.1 and you had made a DNMC type comment. I'm guessing you went back and rescored after looking at the description. Sometimes, the title and description say different things. ;-) Thanks again from all that were given the benefit of the description.
