I'm finding the behavior of the "show signature" checkbox rather frustrating... it seems to uncheck itself periodically. There is no rhyme or reason to when it does this, and it does not seem to have anything to do with which pooter I am on at the time. Does not have to do with having logged out/back in either. Happens at least a couple times a week, think I've seen it twice in one day but can't be SURE. Only thing I AM sure of is I wish it wold stop, LOL.
Anyone else observe this?

Yup, happens to me often, but I use it as a test to see if I'm awake when I'm posting a reply. So if this post doesnt have a signature then I'm asleep and you can safely ignore this.

| I have a box in my preference that says "to overide all signature disables". LOL :P |

The pattern that I've noticed is that it unchecks after you make comments on photos. (because comments don't have a sig option?)

LOL That's not what I meant! I was trying to suggest that after you do some comments, take a look at the box when ya do forum posts!

Yup, that's the key! I made a comment and had to re-check the box for this post.
Now, the question is, can they fix it?

I think the REAL question is do they know about it. I never said anything because I only found it mildly annoying and considering the overall quality of the site, didn't think it wasn't worth mentioning until someone else brought it up.

For some forums, it is an etiquette thing. You put your signature in once, then don't bother anymore. It may also have been changed to decrease the amount of the bandwidth (the gif's, etc. that have shown up), and time to load these if people forget to check the box.

If you are talking about the option in your preferences to override the display of forum signatures, it was in response to the increasing frequence with which people were using pictures in their signature, and then posting their sig every time.
It represented a significant increase in both bandwidth and visual clutter, so people asked to be able to hide the sigs. |

I believe what he was refering to is this. If you post in the forums with sig checked, then vote on a couple of pics and make comments, the go back to forum posts the sig box is then unchecked. So for those with short sigs that want it shown, you have to make sure it's checked...
Did that make sense?
