Yes it is. I mainly want to use it for my 70-200 mm L lens. BUt I have the usual suspects when it comes to lenses.

look on the end near the front and you will see a number with a symbol in front of it.

Your lenses are all over the place as far as size requirements. All the way from 52mm (the 50/1.8) to 72mm (the Sigma 28-105). Usually, you'd buy the largest size and use step-up rings, but given that you've got three lenses that use either 52mm or 58mm you might consider getting both 58mm and 72mm.
First one you really want to have is a circular polarizer. Make sure it's a quality filter, multicoated. Next is Neutral density. there are varying degrees of strength for ND filters, and yo need to decide how strong you want/need for your purposes. |

Good tips guys! I believe I have a circular polarizer... but I never use it as it turns out!
:(
God! It's been so long that I have enjoyed my cam for a period of time, I feel like I;ve forgotten everything! Back to the drawing board with things.
thanks guys!

"usual suspects" - WTF does that mean? A kit lens and a 70-200L are both common but not often used by the same person. Add in all the other canon lenses, the sigma, tokina and tamron lenses and there are hundreds of 'usual suspects.'
You have the lenses, and every lens is marked with what size filter it takes.
For landscapes...ND, grad ND, sunset and or grad sunset and of course polarizer are 'the usual suspects'.
One solution is to get a Cokin filter mount ($15 or so), adapter rings for each lens size you need ($6 or so each) and then you only need one of each filter.

EF 50mm II f/1.8 - 52mm
EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 USM - 58mm
EF 75-300mm f/4-5.6 IS USM - 58mm
EF 70-200mm f/4L(IS) USM - 67mm
EF 70-200mm f/2.8L(IS) USM - 77mm
Filter size can be found on your lens, it's something like this Ø77mm or Ø67mm
