I'm new, (and this may be a dumb question) but, Can I adjust lighting in post shot production? Is this allowable? I've read the challenge rules, and it seems to be ok.I thought I would check first..Thanks in advance... |

I can´t undestand exactly what you did mean with lighting. Lighting can be exposure, flash and studio light equipment or simply the brightness adjustment in photoshop. If did you mean the 3rd, yes, its allowed. The 1st too, but it´s only available in RAW mode. The 2nd is only possible in the real life, if need to adjust it... will need to shot again! |

PS filters that change the lighting like lens flare and the lighting effects (spotlight, omni, directional etc), and various other 'fake' lighting filters you can get are only legal in the advanced editing challenges. As GoodEnd mentioned, the other types such as WB, exposure, levels, and all that jazz is legal in basic/classic editing (ie open challenges) as well as the advanced editing.
