anyone in canada ever bought this cam body only? if so, where did you buy it and did the body come with anything ie. battery, charger or was it bare bones?
and what lens did you buy for it?

If you buy the "body only" it comes with everything but the lens, that includes battery, charger, etc.

| usually when people say body only, they mean without a lens but with all the necessary items to make it work once you get a lens. So it should have batteries, and manuals, and all that junk. |

What is included in the box with the body in "body only" kits should *not* vary from place to place. If a seller tries to convince you that something like a battery is extra, run away fast. The are not reputable. |

He's right. Canon has 2 boxes in which the rebel comes in. One says "kit" on it and includes the lens, the other doesn't and doesn't have the lens. Except for the lens, there's no difference between the two.
