Would it be possible for the scoring mechanism used for the DPL to be optionally applied to families? I think it would be really cool for me to be able to see my wife's entry as well as my own and be able to track both of our scores while voting is in progress.
Users could choose who they want to see their entries and scores. Also by doing this, it would have to prevent you from voting on each other's pictures.
So what do you think? Good idea or bad?

Sounds like a good idea to me. I have a friend who I shoot with and I would like to be able to check on her scores as well. This would also make it so I would not have to skip her entrys. Because that is a lot of work. :) |

Great idea. My wife has only entered once, but that week, I had to use Firefox to log in to her account and IE to get in to mine, so I could have themboth up at once. It was a real pain.

Anyone with inside knowledge know if this would be hard to do or not? |

As an aside, DPL teams can only see each other's entries - they cannot yet see each other's scores. This was the topic of much debate.
Fun idea, though I don't think it'll happen. People would start creating teams all willy nilly, and then there'd be complications (could you be on a DPL team AND a private team? And conspiracy threads, and teams as cliques, etc)
And what's the purpose of a team if there's not competition between them? At that point, why don't you just sign up for DPL together? |
