This little bug was found wrapped in a Roast Beef Sandwich from Stop and Shop in a CT location. It crawled out upon opening of the wraper. There it met an untimely end.
What is it?
It has wings and big silky entennae; no stinger visible.
PLease help.

It looks like wasp of some sort. Why it was in your sandwich is a mystery.
Do you have a shot of the bottom?
BTW, if you can get a shot with a little more light, the people at BugGuide.net will probably ID it for you. I'm sure they'd love the story of the sandwich bug.

it has no stinger, maybe a folded in one, its light brown, and it looks like the abdomen is connected to the thorax by a thin black piece. |
