For the author, a billionaire... sympathy....
not so much. I hate that the kiddies might encounter a spoiler. But if they're worried about that, it's pretty easy to avoid til they get their copy. Wish I could write like that.

Well, from what I hear, someone has died in every book she's written. I had to ask a kid, I don't read magic books.

Personlly, I remain thoroughly convinced that the authorities have been duly informed of this infringement and violation of copyright laws and will address the issue in due course.
I am also convinced that the investigators tasked with this undertaking are much better versed with the proper mechanisms and reporting procedures than I am, and as such will defer to their authority and knowledge.
Although I do share you concerns relative to copyright infringements I do believe this is a matter that should be left to those bodies having jurisdictional responsibilities.

It's difficult to determine if someone has a legal or illegal mp3 on their device. MP3's don't have to have tags that can track someone via a serial number.

If you want to check the EXIF data of the images of the book you've downloaded. ;)
Try a google search on Opanda. They have EXIF readers that work with most HTML browsers, esp. Firefox.
I doubt you'll be able to trace this person unless you have help from the manufacturer of the camera.

This happens with alot of books, Infact I seem to recall a leak of a previous HP book not too long ago where alot of people got ahold of it online. Didn't hurt anyones bank books. The Real Money is in the Movie Deals anyway, The book is just an advanced script.

For some reason with books, I dont think its as bad as other media...seeing how we have libraries, which lend books out for free. It makes sense in my head. |
