| I was looking at the lenses in DPC and looked at two of Canon lens 100mm USM Macro and 100mm Macro, are they same? |

The older 100mm macro didn't have an IF design or a USM motor, the new one does. I'm sure a lot of people either have the old one or just picked the wrong one from the list when they added it to their profiles. The new one is, of course, better than the old.

primarily the price tag, and secondly, some people would only allow themselves to be seen using the more expensive choice ;) |
