| Am I missing something? It seems that you can select "email replies" on a thread on the forums and automatically get emails every time a new forum post is made but you cannot get automatic emails when a new comment is left on one of your photos? I've been frustrated when someone tells me they left a comment on one of my photos that I took over a year ago and I have no idea which one it is without clicking on every photo in my portfolio and seeing which ones don't have a check box in the "helpful" box. There has to be a way to get automatically emailed whenever someone comments on one of your photos, regardless of how long ago the photo was taken. If there isn't, this seems to be a major oversight and I suggest we add it as a feature. |

I struggle with this issue too...what I've gotten in the habit of doing is going to "My Profile" and clicking on the number of comments next to "Received: ". Under browse settings, the last pulldown, I choose "comments: not marked as helpful" and hit go. Since I mark most comments as helpful this shows me comments that I may have missed. Of course it also shows comments that you make yourself so you have to scroll through those.
I agree it would be helpful to have an auto email function, but maybe only on photos not currently in voting.
Anyone else have "tricks" to check on comments? |

If you have Firefox, there is a greasemonkey extension that shows you which comments are new with red arrows on your profile page (just have to put your image list to "show all").
Works GREAT !

It can be found here.
I use most of the scripts put out by  smurfguy and they all work like a charm. Definitely makes DPC even better.

Like Jasonlprice, I just go to comments received and the most current one is on top. Pretty simple. Email notification? I thought I was lazy...just joking! Everyone has their own way of doing things. :)
