In the next generation, I would like a couple of things that are not available on the K10D. I want a Flash Synchro-X input, so I don't need to put an adapter in the Hot Shoe.
I would also appreciate a CF card slot as well as the existing SD slot. I would also like a 12.8 megapixel sensor that can be used up to 3200 iso. That is all I am asking for in the next generation.

ben, im gonna say this every time you post a thread about new pentax bodies:
screw the bodies!
PRODUCE LENSES FASTER!
And you can tell Pentax that Option said that. I'm sure they know who I am by now. I have a blue ribbon, and my apartment smells of rich mahogany. I'm kind of a big deal... |

And option, I called Pentax and they did indeed know you and they said they have told you 4 times how to get rid of that mahogany smell.

Hey, he never really said anything about wanting weather sealing. Want that? There's a wonder of a 16.7mp 1Dsmk2 waiting. Your's for $7000. :) Otherwise there's the 1Dmk3 ($4000), and the 1Dmk2 ($3500ish now). Not to mention ALL THOSE LENSES. Haha, just messing with you. Pentax is great, I used to have the classic K1000. It was a tank.

Ya, Benjikan is a fashion man. Frankly, I dont understand why he shoots with a K10D... I would think a Hassy H3D-39 would make more sense! |

I have used the Hassy..I used it for my "Swarovski" X-Mas World campaign for Saatchi & Saatchi AD Agency. But for magazine work it is over kill. I find it cumbersome, slow and not very facilitating for the way I work. I never use a tri-pod. I love being mobile and a DSLR allows me the freedom I require for the way I work. Things are just getting better and better. 14 to 18 mega pixels would be ideal for me.
PS..This is one of the reasons I use the K10D...

Haha, I was just kidding, Ben; I couldnt let samdoe win the "suggest a more badass camera" war...
In other news: the lenses that I was complaining about slow production on? Japan release is slated for July 27 (50-135 2.8) and Aug 11 (16-50 2.8), with worldwide release on August 15th. Woohoo! Now, will the 200 2.8 and 300 4.0 be ready for their planned September release? Or the 60-250 4.0 in Dec? The three teles will close the only serious gap in the Pentax lens lineup... things are lookin good!
I'm anxiously awaiting the arrival of my 16-50 2.8... I've had one on order since late march! Now, the real question is...
Fast:
16-50 2.8
50-135 2.8
200 2.8
or Long:
16-50 2.8
60-250 4.0
300 4.0
(actually, the real question is where im gonna come up with the money for 2 more $1k lenses...yikes!) |

Is this what was fixed in the Firmware Update version 1.0? I'm not sure as I still don't have an external flash... |
