Sorry to steal a topic already created by another user, but I too am looking for some feedback on this...



This was taken this morning in my "new studio." My son was nice enough to sit still for all of 5 minutes, after a bribe of gum, of course, upon conclusion.

I left the backdrop unlit on purpose, and was hoping it worked for this shot. I would like to put up some more portraits as I take them, and would like very much to hear what you have to say.

excellent shot; a bit grainy; try neat image. I'd love to see that.

and add some contrast to give the photo some more depth

I don't think I have neat image...

I tried to reduce noise and increase the contrast. I don't know if I like it better though...

There's no amount of noise worth reducing in that shot.

Looks nicer with more contrast, but maybe you if use curves you can get the contrast in the face without blowing out the upper forehead. It's tough, that's a pretty bright spot in the original.

Nice shot though.
