I was just searching through DPC prints. There are a lot of pics out there and I have two suggestions for the site search.

1) A "what's new" category - those pics added recently (depending on how many are added a day - the category might have 25 - 35 prints). This would let me, the buyer see what's been added recently in all categories, and would let the sellers have a moment of special focus for each new shot.
2) There are quite a few (25+) pages in some of the categories. That gets to be a lot to browse through. I would like to select a sub-category as an option. It could work without adding categories. I might first select Black and White, then select Florals. I would get pics that fit both categories.

I really like the site - it's how I found DP Challenge and I've recently framed and hung the shots I purchased. Thought I'd offer some ideas to make it better.

Good night

Some good suggestions there :) The second one is a feature that already exists but isn't really advertised (and I agree it should). If you go to the search page you will get the most recent photos first.

Thanks for responding Franziska. I don't think I was clear enough in my suggestions.

The first asks for a new category called "new photos" so that, if selected, a new still life would show on the same page with a new abstract, new journalism, etc.

For the second, the search does not work this way today. I think it would be great if when I selected B&W I was taken to that gallery (as I am today) but if I select florals from that page, I get only B&W florals (not the full set of florals as I do today)

I'd like to be able to look thru the shots in full size view instead of jsut thumbnails.
