I did a quick search on flickr.com using the search phrase "Copyrighted_Image_Reuse_Prohibited_" and it came back with the following.

Check and see if any of these are stolen. I know some are unless three different people own the missing key keyboard.

I do believe they are ALL DPC images.

And if you click on the photographers profiles, I think you will find even more

Thats why I asked people to look. I have know way of knowing if a flickr account is someone here using a different name and is legit. But using the "Copyrighted_Image_Reuse_Prohibited_" search term on a lot of free picture sites will bring up interesting results. One way of checking, if the person was to lazy to change the file name.

ah crap again! I think this third or fourth time I have had to do this and I have found the original poster/editor who altered the photo and he took it down. So far I have had luck getting them taken down, time to go again...
Thanks for the find Crystal.

Can you send messages to users on flickr? I have an account I don't really use on their but I don't see a way to contact someone individually like a PM. Thanks
Joe

Go to their profile and there's a link to "send flickrmail."

hey joe,
go to the persons profile page and there is an option next to "photo's" called "send flickrmail"

nick

edit: what stiger said :)

it actually is a much better setup than the dpc "pm" way of doing things.

Oh, and I love this part.

They all claim rights to the photos!!! [© All rights reserved.] under each and every photo. All three of the members with the exact same photograph...claim rights. Thieves tick me off!!

Just astonishing. And the stupidity or sheer arrogance to actually post with the file name that includes the ban on reuse is incredible.

that's just the default on flickr, these people are just "photo-sharing" or keeping them for their own use. none of them have comments or have been on explore in any way. they're not promoting them in the flickr groups either.

My guess is I'll never get all of these versions off the net. I found the person who created this version on stumbleupon.com and he had made it a .gif with falling rain. He took it down a couple weeks before that so this means he most likely stole it from another source. Oh the joy...
