I have an idea I would like to throw out and see how quick it bounces back :)

How would it work if we simply put a check box type form under each photo for quick comments in the challenges?

Example:

Your vote is based on: (With a check box for each)

Liked:
Compostion
Lighting
Contrast
Focus
Depth of field

Did not like:
Compostion
Lighting
Contrast
Focus
Depth of field

Improve the following:
Compostion
Lighting
Contrast
Focus
Depth of field

Some hint as to how to improve a shot I think is better than none?

Would this be a progamming nightmare?

What do others think?

I think this would "sterilize" the voting process too much. Sometimes, there could be technical areas of a photo that need work, but they're easier to overlook because a photograph just transcends technicalities. I don't know if that makes sense to anyone else, but the way I view these images is with both a combination of admiration for technical skill and emotion or "feel" of the shot.

I was thinking more in the line of getting more comments to more entries?

Do you think it may speed up the commenting by letting them check the items and also have an open comment box for additional comments under each topic?

It could be a tool for speeding up the comment process?

I strongly agree with this. Composition, particularly, consists of many elements (balance is one I look for in all images), the in- or exclusion of which can shift from shot to shot). A useful learning aid (Calvus' suggestion) but not one I'd be happy to be restricted by.

I have to agree with this and also with all those extras involved some people would just not vote at all and those who did would be more inclined to vote on less photos.
