Very disappointed :(
IMO I think more people should vote like

posthumous who takes the time to interpret the deeper meaning, effort, and adherence to theme, versus those who only look for technical merit.

I tried to be "smart" on two counts, some like it, those few that have commented say the photo is great, but....judging by the score most missed it.....!

To say the truth this is more or less the score I was expecting as the picture I submitted have a very loss connection with the missing link or any chain. I submitted the pic more for the fun of it expecting lots of comments and this is the only place I'm a little disappointed.

Yes indeed... witness his in depth analysis and ever so apropos comments on the submission made by

e301in his June 2007 Free Study entry where he made the following comment:

"Every once in a while I see a picture that looks like it's been encoded by aliens trying to get a secret message to me past Homeland Security. I respond by scoring 10. Then I await further instructions."

i think some sub themes from this challenge have been played out a little to much and there for dont pop out at me as much as the first one i see. and then again there are some completely off topic (IMO anyway) images, and some really original ideas and themes that really stick out.

id like to think mine was kinda original seeing as its the only "emotion" displayed and i did carefully look through them all.
yet i seemed to drop the ball again. such low votes to views ratio too.

I will have my second worst vote with this one. When the idea came to my mind, it blinked pretty bright, but i couldn't put it into picture correctly. When the voting is over I could request someone to reproduce the image, better, but with same idea. Maybe it doesn't mean a lot, but it was funny to me when I thought about it first.

Interesting challenge.

Yeah - dropped from a pleasant 5.8 to 5.3 in the same time. Seems as if they're out in force for this one...or else we all submitted really bad images! :-P
