Holy Steal if Real!
I almost got sick when I saw this. Doesn't look like one of the fake listings... I could have actually afforded this one! |

Hey, Tom- long time, no see. I was doing great until I read about a ridiculously cheap 100-400 lens... ;-) |

You never know. Look at the history of other sales. Photography equipment isn't the norm here. Sometimes you run across things that people have NO idea what they're selling.
I recently purchased a Minolta 700si film SLR, with a Tamron 28-200, some nice filters (including 2 Tiffen circular polarizers), remote cord, nice bag, and a Minolta 100 F2.8 Macro lens for $175!!! I looked at that listing 3 times to make sure it was for real...then I couldn't hit the Buy It Now button fast enough. :D
That 100 sells for $400-500 on eBay used. Beautiful lens - tack sharp, fast, etc...came in the original box and was in MINT condition.
Ending up keeping the 100 and the 700si - sold the rest, including my old Tamron SP 90 F2.8 Macro. |

If it didn't cost the "owner" selling it anything, he or she wouldn't care as much about what they got for it when it sold... as long as it sold quick and they got their money even faster.
;D

| I noticed all his completed auctions included shipping and handling details but this one didn't. It said contact the seller. Maybe the S&H cost is $1000. |

My uncle's friend bought a Porsche off of Craigslist for $500. He saw the ad and thought it was a scam or stolen, but figured he would at least respond to the email to see what was wrong with it, he figured even for parts it was worth it. It was a wife whose husband had run off with a much younger woman to somewhere tropical(I can't remember exactly) and the husband told her to just sell all of his stuff and send the money. He was at her house with cash in 45 min. :) |

John McCutcheon wrote a song like that. The lady's husband was Earl, who ran off with a young blonde. The lady sold the car (red Corvette or something) for $80.
Did you ever see your uncle's friend's car? |

We'll see what happens with his feedback. After all, 'he would have kept it if it fitted his new Nikon'.
