| I had a very bad night last night. Family problems, nothing to do with my camera. I left home this morning, stuck my camera in my laundry basket, and completely forgot about it. It has been hotter than blue blazes today, and my baby (the camera, not a person) was in my car all day! Will it be okay? I don't do stuff like that to it regularly at all. I'm usually very careful about taking it out of my car as soon as I get where I'm going. I've even arranged to have it baby-sat! Seriously, I'm going straight from work to see Harry Potter tomorrow. I can't take the camera in the theater. It's too hot for it to stay in the car. So, I arranged for the owner of the camera shop where I buy my stuff to baby sit it for a few hours. |

It should be fine. You wouldn't want to store it regularly under those conditions, but one day almost certainly will not cause problems -- especially since it was powered off.

So exposing cameras to extreme conditions actually improves their performance? That's very counter-intuitive.

FYI - "boot" means "trunk" in American.
George Bernard Shaw once said, "Britian and America are devided by a common language."
(Australia, too!)

| I feel better - about the camera anyway. |
