...just wondered what other people think?
1. I think it would be helpful, if in your profile 'users favourites' worked in the same was as 'selected by other users'. When you click view it should show a list of people who have selected you as a favourite on the left and also display all the images that users have selected in the main part of the page. Twice now I have had portfolio shots selected and its not been easy to find which one.
2. I find, although I have entered relatively few challenges compared to many people here, my average vote received doesn't change by that much, no matter what score I get. Therefore I though it might be a good idea to have a moving average, taking into account your last 5 or even 10 shots. This would be more interesting, especially for the users who have entered 100+ challenges. Also this would give some indication of how well you are doing, if your moving average is above your actual average then you are improving (not sure how well it would work in practice).
3. On a user profile, instead of the status just stating that the user is offline, could it give the date they were last online? It would give a better indication whether the user is still active on the site, without having looking for their last submission, forum post or comment.

I think the first 2 are good suggestions.
re: 3, It's been this way for quite a while:
"User has been offline since Today 10:15:32 AM."

You have to be logged in with cookies on, on your browser for it to register. |

Whose status are you trying to ascertain? It may be that you have cookies on, but the person you are investigating does not, and so they don't register as effectively with the system. Or maybe it's an SC thing ...? |

I think it must be a SC thing, I have tried it for several people. |

I think this is a cool idea. Even if I'm not doing fantastically well, it'd be nice to know if I'm improving.
I guess maybe it would also make sense to work out the moving average based on percentile rather than score? This takes care of the wide variety of score ranges.
It's also relatively easy to implement:
SELECT SUM(Score)/COUNT(Score) FROM tblScores WHERE
user = 'PaulMdx' LIMIT 10
D+L, you might need to change that a bit. ;-)))
