the last couple days I have been researching photographers and i noticed that all the photogs sites ive looked at all this pop to them or certain level of image quality that seems unattainable by any of our cameras....i know lighting is VERY important, so is it all in their lighting techniques or do they have super expensive cameras that help them get this "look"?

Its not the camera to a certain extent. What im seeing there is between composition and editing. Makeup and Lighting help too lol. |

that's a stylist, a make-up artist, an art director, great studio lighting, a rockin' camera, lots of good glass, excellent timing, a creative eye, good PP skill, and a lot of talent. ;) |

For the first site, professional models and celebrities, a staff of make-up artists, professional sets and lighting, and pro-level equipment, and expert post-processing. Having said that, there's nothing there that I have not seen equaled or surpassed by DPCers working in their home studios or out on the street. Photography is just having a vision and clicking the shutter. |

Skill. Plus some staff. But it's not the camera alone.

yah you would be surprised by what good makeup hair and lighting can do. I actually sat down with my roomate who does makeup and hair and planned out a photoshoot and had her help me with very specific positioning of reflectors for lighting and got some of my best portraits ever!::
